In partnership with ASURE leadership, I translated technical research into domain-structured messaging for defense audiences, developing the narrative and information architecture now guiding a full redesign of ASURE’s external web presence.
Much of my work with ASURE, including executive briefings and board-level materials, is confidential. The following represents a limited set of public-facing artifacts that reflect a broader practice of applied R&D communications work.
Space portfolio translation
In preparation for the 41st Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, ASURE conducted a rapid-cycle portfolio translation exercise to support direct engagement with prime contractor research scouts and government stakeholders. Working from a broad set of technical research inputs across active ASURE programs, the project required compressing and restructuring highly technical material into concise, defensible messaging suitable for expert-level audiences operating across defense and aerospace domains.
The new taxonomy
In direct collaboration with ASURE’s managing director, technologies were organized into five operational subdomains:
Cyber mission assurance and data trust
XGEO and space domain awareness
In-space servicing and operations
Advanced remote sensing
Advanced space power and propulsion
Each domain was reframed into a clear capability narrative designed to support face-to-face engagement, allowing research-intensive concepts to be communicated without loss of technical integrity or exposure to oversimplification risk.
The resulting materials supported high-density engagement across a defense and aerospace audience spanning government, military, and commercial stakeholders. Early outcomes included strong engagement from prime contractor representatives, validation of the underlying taxonomy structure, and subsequent adoption of the domain framework in ongoing ASURE positioning work.
R&D platform development
As project lead across stakeholder engagement and content strategy, I oversee the integration of client coordination, narrative architecture, and portfolio organization, work that is now informing a full redesign of ASURE’s web presence and extending the Space Symposium taxonomy into a persistent, navigable system for defense and industry partners.
A web presence for bid capture
The Space Symposium work revealed a structural gap between ASURE’s technical portfolio and its external representation systems, leading to the initiation of a broader applied R&D effort focused on organizational messaging, taxonomy design, and digital infrastructure. This has evolved into a comprehensive redesign of ASURE’s web presence, repositioning the organization’s external narrative around defense-relevant capability domains, clearer program architecture, and a more direct articulation of its role as a nontraditional defense commercialization partner.
As project lead across both stakeholder engagement and content strategy, this work includes oversight of client relationships, narrative architecture, and information design across ASURE’s applied R&D portfolio. The forthcoming web platform will extend the Space Symposium taxonomy into a persistent digital structure, enabling defense contractors to navigate research domains, identify partnership opportunities, and engage with ASURE’s commercialization pathways more efficiently.
